The following lectures were held as the 2010-11 season of talks for the society:

Monday 22nd November 2010: Dr. Joseph Elders, Archaeology Officer, Council for the Care of Churches, on ‘Saints, Sea Monsters and Llamas: Excavations at the Nestorian monastery on Sir Ban Yas island, Abu Dhabi Emirate’.

Friday 3rd December 2010: Private View of the Society’s 50th Anniversary Exhibition, Mezzanine Gallery, Letchworth Museum, 7.30pm. Refreshments.

Thursday 23rd December 2010: Chris Dyer, ‘Viking Shetland’. Xmas wine and cheese. Letchworth Museum library hall 8pm.

Monday 24th January 2011: Keith Fitzpatrick-Matthews, NHDC Archaeology Officer, ‘Norton in the 3rd millennium BC: the origins of the NHAS and the recent work of Norton Community Archaeology Group’. Mrs Howard Memorial Hall (upper room), Norton Way South, Letchworth Garden City, 8pm.
